AT THE O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME IN OAKVILLE
WATERBURY Ms. Teresa M. Vitone, age 82, of Waterbury, died unexpectedly on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Waterbury Hospital.
Ms. Vitone was born February 14, 1929 in Oakville, CT., daughter of the late Ambrogio "Ralph" and Maria "Carmela" (Ciarleglio) Vitone. She attended Oakville-Watertown Schools, graduating from Watertown High School in 1947. She moved to California in 1962, where she lived for nearly twenty years before returning home to Connecticut in 1981. She worked as a secretary for various companies throughout the Waterbury area including Les Care Kitchens and retired in 1984. Following her retirement, she worked for several years as a part time associate for K-Mart. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Loreto Church.
Among her survivors are her brother, Ambrose Vitone of Wolcott and her sister, Lucy Marini of Waterbury, as well as several nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces and many cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, Ralph Vitone and Robert Vitone.
Funeral services for Ms. Vitone will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. from the O'Neill Funeral Home 742 Main St Oakville to Our Lady of Loreto Church 12 Ardsley Rd Waterbury for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery Watertown. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 8:30a.m.until leaving for church.
