Waterbury Mrs. Theresa Rizk, age 73, of Butme Lebanon, and Englewood Ave Waterbury, died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at St Mary's Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was the widow of Hassib Rizk.
Mrs. Rizk was born on July 15th 1938, in Butme Lebanon, the daughter of the late Selim and Emily (Bashura) Rizk. She was raised and lived in Lebanon prior to coming to the US in 1985 where she could spend time and be closer to her family. She enjoyed returning to her native homeland on frequent occasions and loved to cook and bake, but was always happiest while spending time and being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren
Among her survivors are her two sons, Fouad Rizk and his wife Bernice of Naugatuck Fadi Rizk and his wife Rita of Waterbury, her two daughters, Lorraine Robehmed and her husband George of Waterbury and Marcelle Bourjaili and her husband Selim of Beirut Lebanon; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son Elias Rizk
Funeral services and burial for Mrs. Rizk will be held in Lebanon at the convenience of the family. A Memorial Mass for Mrs. Rizk will be held at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Church, 8 East Mountain Rd. Waterbury CT at a date and time to be announced.
