CASEY-O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME WATERBURY
WATERBURY: Theresa K. Santos, age 79, formerly of Enoch ST Waterbury, currently of 2221 East Main St. passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at VITAS Innovative Hospice Unit of St. Mary's Hospital on Thursday July 19th. She was the wife of Joseph Santos.
Mrs. Santos was born in Waterbury, CT on September 30th 1932, the daughter of the late Angelo and Maria (Marino) Capobianco. She was a lifelong Waterbury resident and was a lunch lady at Chase school for several years and then became an assembler at Mattatuck Manufacturing where she worked for many years before her retirement. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling, but was always happiest while spending time with her family and friends. She was a parishioner of Saint Peter and Paul Church.
Besides her husband Joe of 63 years, Theresa is survived by her sons, Joseph P. Santos, and Pasquale Santos of Seatlle WA; her daughter, Teresa Santos-Corso and her husband John of Waterbury, her sister Rose Lemay of Waterbury, and her granddaughter Manuella Vensel of Naugatuck as well as many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations in memory of Theresa may be made to the American Heart Association PO Box 5022 Wallingford, CT 06492.
Funeral services for Mrs. Santos will be held on Monday July 23rd 2012 at 10:30am with a memorial Mass at Saints Peter and Paul Church 67 Southmayd Rd. Those planning on attending are asked to meet directly at church. Rites of Committal and Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family in New Pine Grove Cemetery.
