OAKVILLE - Theresa (Vallerand) Semeraro, age 61 of Oakville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 17, 2019 at Waterbury Hospital after an extended illness. She was the wife of John A. Semeraro.
Theresa was born on December 23, 1957 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late George and Hazel (Lacoursier) Vallerand. She was educated in local schools and was a graduate of Wolcott High School. Theresa was an avid NASCAR fan especially of Dale Earnhardt Jr and never missed watching a race. She loved the internet and Facebook and enjoyed using in to keep in touch with family and friends. Theresa also loved to travel with her sisters, camping with her husband and especially enjoyed the 4th of July where the family would get together for picnics, fireworks, food and drinks. Theresa will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to remember, cherish and honor Theresa's love and legacy, besides her husband of 27 years are her stepdaughter, Cheryl Wheeler of Torrington, his brothers; Walter Vallerand of Florida and Allen Vallerand of Middletown, her sisters; Helen Vallerand of Florida, Linda Hyatt of Florida, Irene Komarnsky of Colorado as well as her grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Vallerand and her stepson, Steven Semeraro.
Funeral services for Mrs. Semeraro will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at 12 noon at O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main St. Oakville, CT 06779. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may visit with Theresa's family on Sunday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 12 noon at the funeral home.
