AT THE O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME Mr. Thomas M. Aurio Jr. age 44, of Cobblefield Ct. Wolcott, died unexpectedly on Friday October 10, 2008.

Thomas was born in Waterbury CT on April 18, 1964, a son of Thomas M. Aurio Sr. and the late Doreen (Hebert) Aurio. He was educated in local schools and graduated from Wolcott High School. He was employed as a crane operator at CoreSlab Industries in Thomaston. He was an accomplished landscape and design artist, an avid motorcycle enthusiast and a member of the Western CT Harley Davidson owners group. He was an expert in motocross racing and loved to fish. He was most proud of his son, Domenic. He designed and built by hand, a landscape pond, which he devoted to his mother, prior to her illness. Most of all he was dedicated to his family whom he loved with great devotion.

Besides his father and stepmother Anne of Wolcott, Thomas leaves his beloved son, Domenic Anthony Aurio of Danbury, his brother Roger J. Aurio and his wife Jean of Rochester NY, his sister Andrea Lanese and her husband Brian of Wolcott,and his nieces, Madison Aurio and Jillian Lanses and nephew, Nolan Aurio. His mother, Doreen and brother, Michael Anthony Aurio are deceased

Funeral services for Mr. Aurio will be held on Wednesday, October 15 2008 at 11:00am from the O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street Oakville to St. Mary Magdalen Church Buckingham St. Oakville for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in Mt Olivet Cemetery Watertown. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5-8pm.
