WATERBURY - Thomas A. Baker age 64 of Waterbury, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Saint Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Mary (Caffrey) Baker.

Tom was born June 12, 1950 in Durango CO, the son of the late Aaron and Eula Mae (Lancaster) Baker. He attended Texas City High School, The University of Plano and The College of the Mainland and spent many years working as a custodian at Mount Saint John's School in Deep River. He enjoyed reading, shopping at flea markets and book sales and was a history buff. He was an avid Boston Red Sox and Oklahoma Sooners fan and loved animals especially his six cats. He was a member of the Friends of Bill W. and a parishioner of Mill Plain Union Church.

Besides his wife Mary of 28 years, Tom is survived by his sisters, Arona (Ann) Rambin of Nacogdoches, Texas, Linda Love and her husband, Audie of Santa Barbara, CA, and Margaret DeSha and her husband, Dr. David of Shreveport, LA. He also leaves his niece and nephew Mark and Suzanne and his great nieces, Erin and Ann Margaret as well as several other cousins and extended family.

Funeral services for Mr. Baker will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 11:00 am at Eastside Memorial "A CASEY FAMILY FUNERAL HOME AND TRIBUTE CENTER" 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may visit with Thomas's family on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 at the funeral home. Memorial donations in Thomas's memory may be made to Meow Inc at 10 Nasser Rd.
