Thomaston, CT - Mr. Thomas M. Bouley, Sr, age 63, passed away Monday, February 11, 2008 at St.Mary's Hospital in Waterbury.
Mr. Bouley was born October 31, 1944 in Orange, NJ, the son of the late George and Rita (O'Loughlin) Bouley. He was the grandson of the late Waterbury police Officer Bernard O'Loughlin. He was a graduate of Hopeville Grammar School in Waterbury and Hialeah High School in Hialeah Florida. Mr. Bouley was a retired Waterbury Police Officer rising to the rank of detective. He was an Inspector for the States Attorney's office in Waterbury, an investigator for the Public Defenders Office in Danbury, served as a parole officer and most recently he was Assistant Director of Facilities at Taft School. Having previously lived in Boca Raton FL, he was the Assistant to the Facilities Director of beach operations at the Boca Raton Resort and Club. He attended culinary school and managed numerous catering events and worked as Sous Chef at the resort. Mr. Bouley enjoyed cooking, sprint car racing and was an avid dog lover. He derived great pleasure from preparing holiday dinners with his extended family and friends, especially his weekly lunches with his son. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, whose entire life was dedicated to caring for his family.
Besides his companion of several years, Nancy Bell, with whom he made his home, Mr. Bouley is survived by his daughter, Terri Bouley and two grandchildren Allyssa Rose and Christopher Thomas, and his son Thomas M. Bouley, Jr. all of Waterbury. He also leaves his brother George Bouley and his wife Beverly of Thomaston, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Bouley with Police Departmental Honors will be held on Friday at 9:00 AM from Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home, 1581 East Main St, Waterbury, CT to the Church of the Immaculate Conception 74 West Main St Waterbury for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. Family and Friends may visit the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM
