WATERTOWN - Thomas P. Griffin, age 71, of Watertown passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 5, 2017 surrounded by the love and comfort of his family after a brief illness. He was the husband of Suzanne (Desrosiers) Griffin.
Thomas was born December 27, 1945 in Waterbury, CT the son of the late Gertrude Woods, was raised in Prospect, CT and was a graduate of UCONN where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and spent many years working as a manager for Tenex Corporation and later at Emson Manufacturing. Tom was an avid golfer and loved spending time outdoors taking walks and fishing. He was a faithful fan of the UCONN Women's basketball team, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Besides his wife Suzanne of 26 years Thomas is survived by his children: Christopher Marinaro of Naugatuck, Brian Marinaro of Oakville, Annette Brandt of New Port Richey, Thomas Griffin, Jr. and Timothy Griffin both of New Port Richey, FL, and FL in addition to his grandchildren Nina, Steven, Jared, Sabrina, Nevada, Caleb, Brayden and Ava as well as many friends and extended family members. The family would also like to thank Waterbury Gardens for their sincere care and affection for Tom.
A memorial service for Mr. Griffin will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 9:00 am at O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main St Oakville, CT 06779. Followed by burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown.
