WATERBURY- Tomasa "Mamita" Soto age 85, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at her home surrounded by the love and comfort of her family after an extended illness. She was the widow of Carmelo Soto
Tomasa was born on June 13, 1933 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Margaro and Gumersinda (Rios) Valentin. She loving and dedicated homemaker who dedicated herself to her family. She loved to garden and cook and was always happiest while surrounded by her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren who she loved to babysit.
Among her survivors are her children; Aixa Soto of Waterbury and Madeline Sepulveda of California,and Eddie Soto of Florida. Margarita Soto of Puerto Rico, She also leaves her grandchildren: Elisa, Melanie, Richard, Daniel, Christina, JR, Jahaira, Cecilia and Yadel. As well as her great grandchildren, Lonnie, "JoJo", Jaylene, Julian, Jonathan, Natalie, Joseph, Alaysia and Jayliana. She was predeceased by her grandson, Domenic L. Soto.
Funeral services for Mrs. Soto will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 5:00 pm. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
