AT THE CASEY-O"DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME
Van, Texas Troy Louis Zommer - age 40, of Van Texas, formerly of Waterbury, died unexpectedly February 10th at his home. He was the son of Denise (Beach) Kummer of Waterbury.
Troy was born July 5th 1969 and attended local schools, graduating from Crosby High School, Class of 1986. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and was deployed to Iraq during Operation Desert Storm, serving an 18 month tour as a mechanic with the 2nd Platoon from Fort Dix NJ. Following his discharge in 1995, he relocated to Texas, where he was employed as a Diesel Mechanic. He enjoyed cooking for his friends and family and was an avid baseball fan who loved to watch any team play.
Besides his mother, Troy is survived by his Stepfather, Robert of Waterbury, his sister Kimberly of Wolcott, his two brothers Howard of Beacon Falls, and Todd of Florida. His two step brothers Bobby of Southbury, and Brian of Florida as well as several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Zommer will be held privately at the convenience of the family. The Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home has been entrusted to assist the family with funeral arrangements.
