WORKED FOR UNIROYAL AND STARBUCK SPRAGUE

WATERBURY - Vance R. Williams of Autumn Lake at Bucks Hill, peacefully went home to glory on February 12, 2022 from St. Mary's Hospital. Vance was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce (Watts) Williams.

Vance was born on November 23, 1928 in Richlands, N.C. to the late Vance and
Melvina (Berry) Williams Sr. Vance was educated in North Carolina. He was
employed at Uniroyal before retiring from Starbuck Sprague Electrical in Waterbury. Vance was a long time member of Mount Olive A.M.E Zion Church. He enjoyed cooking and was known as "The Cook" where he served up soul food at Mingles Cafe. Vance had a big heart and was always willing to help someone in need. He considered anyone he met family.

He leaves to cherish his children, Dr. Zina Denise Watts Williams of Washington D.C., Vance Carnell Williams (Lillian) of Waterbury and Deirdra Lynn Williams Mallory (Michael) of Waterbury. Two grandsons; Michael Anthony Mallory II (Emma) and Brandon Maurice Mallory both of Waterbury. Two sisters; Ann MacDonald
(Charles) and Evelyn Lawson. One brother in law, David Jackson (Barbara). Godchildren Mark Dean, Kim Watts, and Tasha Lott. Devoted friend of the family, Rev Sybil Felton. He was preceded in death by his sister, Verna Cunningham and brothers; Haywood Willams, Artice Williams, Frizzell Williams., Brother in law John Lawson, Slyvester Watts and sister in laws; Peggy Jackson and Mary Humphrey. Vance also
leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Williams will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury. Burial will be held at the convenience of his family. Relatives and friends may visit with the Williams family on Thursday from 10:00 till 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. We continue to remain very concerned about the ongoing pandemic so masks will be required during all indoor services regardless of your current vaccination status.
