Cheshire - Mr. Viktor Kobylyanskyy, age 92 of Cheshire, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at the Vitas Unit in St. Mary's Hospital Waterbury. He was the beloved husband of Eleonora Rudakova of 58 years. Viktor was born September 10, 1924 in Rokitno, Ukraine to the late Eugenyy and Antonina (Sinkevich) Kobylyanskyy.
Viktor was raised during difficult times and survived the famine in 1932-1933. He also served in the Ukrainian Army during WWII. Viktor worked as an engineer in the manufacturing industry. He was very athletic all his life and enjoyed walking, tennis, volleyball, and swimming.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Olga Spaulding and her husband Richard of Cheshire, a son Georgy Kobylyanskyy and his wife Anna of Moscow, and 3 grandchildren Alexandra Kobylyanskaya, Olga Kolomiets and Georgy Kobylyanskyy
Funeral services for Mr. Kobylyanskyy will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
