WATERBURY- It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Vincent “Jimmy” Forino Jr., age 73, share the news of his peaceful passing on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Vitas Innovative Care Unit of St Mary’s Hospital. He was the husband of the late Bethann (Mastropietro) Forino.
Vincent was born on August 30, 1951 in Waterbury, CT, the son of the late Vincent and Frances (Noreikis) Forino Sr. He attended Crosby High School, and then went on to work as a truck driver as well as a mechanic at Nutmeg Auto Sales. Jimmy was a UCONN Husky fan, enjoyed going to classic car shows, was an avid gun enthusiast and enjoyed being outdoors, hunting & gardening. Jimmy loved his family, his country and everything patriotic. He was adored by his nieces and nephews who always looked forward to and cherished their time together. He will be greatly missed by them and all who were blessed to know and love him.
Left to cherish his memory are his siblings; Domenic Forino and his wife, Claire, Frances Forino, Antoinette Forino, Debra Allegrini, and Cheryl Ferrara. He also leaves behind his adored nieces and nephews, Domenic, Jr., Dana, David, Thomas, Michael, Jason, Dylan, Shelby and Lisa as well as his great nieces and nephews, Carissa, Mia, Jonathan, Grace, Alexa, Vincent and Mason. Vincent was predeceased by his brother, John Forino, brother-in-law, Joseph Ferrara and his loving niece and goddaughter, Claire Forino. In addition, he leaves his best friend, Steven Delmonico and his family with whom he shared a special bond.
Funeral services for Mr. Forino will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from Casey’s Eastside memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care 1987 East Main St Waterbury to Mary Mother of the Church Parish, St Leo the Great Church Bentwood Dr Waterbury to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit the Forino family on Monday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
