AT THE O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME Oakville CT - Violet (Frost) Miller, age 79, of Venice Ave, Waterbury, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by her family to whom she devoted her life. She was predeceased by her loving husband Edward Miller.
Violet was born August 30, 1930 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Robert and Clara (Dumas) Frost. She was educated in local schools, attended Wilby High School and was a lifelong resident of Waterbury. Violet worked most notably at Colonial Bank and Hemingway and Bartlett in Watertown. She enjoyed her trips to the casino but most of all she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She leaves behind her loving pet, Morgan.
Violet leaves two children; her daughter, Helen and son-in-law Christopher Brickel with whom she made her home and her son David and his wife Susan of Wolcott. She also leaves her sister, Mary Krewson Benoit and her husband Armand and four grandchildren, Kristin Brickel, Molly, Demi and Jacob Miller and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, James Robert Frost.
Funeral services for Mrs. Miller will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 11:00am at the O'Neill Funeral Home 742 Main St Oakville CT. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery Watertown. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10:00 till the service at 11:00am.
