REMEMBERING, HONORING AND CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF VIRGEN COLON CARDONA.
WATERBURY - Virgen "Cuca" Cardona, 59, of Waterbury, passed away after an extended illness at Saint Mary's Hospital on April 10, 2022. She was the wife of Virgillio Cardona II.
Virgen was born on September 5, 1962 in Caguas, Puerto Rico. She lived in Caguas and was helped raised by her aunt and two older sister's Modesta and Maria. Virgen was well known and very easy to get along with. She was always around family and friends. Virgen loved playing jokes on her sister and making the best out of any situation. She loved the simple things in life. When she wasn't spending time with her grandkis she would be with her husband or close friends. Virgen was always active and ready to go. She was a strong brave woman. Always standing her ground and being completely honest with everyone. She loved ALL of her family especially all of her grandkids. Virgen will be deeply missed by all those who loved her.
Left to honor her memory and cherish her legacy is her husband Virgillio Cardona II. Her children; Virginia Quintero, Juan Quintero, Ronnie Quinter, Generasset Irizarry, Virgillio Cardona III. Son in law Giovanny. Grandchildren, great grandchildren. Her Mother Luz Maria, and stepfather. She also leaves behind; godson, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, cousins and the entire Cardona family who took her in as their own.
Graveside services for Mrs. Cardona will be held on Tuesday April 19, 2022 at 10:00am at New Pine Grove Cemetery, 850 Meriden Road Waterbury, CT. All those attending are asked to meet directly at the cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the Cardona family on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Loving kindness is always welcome, and it only takes a moment to offer a message of condolence, words of comfort or share a memory with the family and friends of someone that was important to you.
