“Active in her community”
GOSHEN– It is with profound sadness and grief that the family of Virginia “Ginny” Anstett, age 66, of Goshen, announce her peaceful passing on Friday, June 13, 2024 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Virginia was born on June 4, 1958 in Torrington, CT, the daughter of the late Leon and Barbara (Brunet) Anstett Sr. She graduated from Wamogo High School, and went on to get her bachelor’s degree from Yale University in graphic arts. She spent her life dedicated to her passion for graphic arts before transitioning to a career as a driver for Executive Livery in Goshen, CT. Throughout her lifetime, Virginia played a significant role in the Goshen community, serving as the director of the Goshen Fair for many years. She had a passion for collecting postcards, creating Steiff bears, and exploring the intricacies of genealogy. Virginia's love for these hobbies brought much joy to those around her and left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory is her brother; Leon (Patti) Anstett Jr., her nephew, Barry (Kim) Anstett, her great nephew, Samuel Anstett, great niece, Allegra Anstett, her great great niece Scarlett Anstett, her beloved cat, Cleo, along with many extended family members and friends.
