WATERBURY, CT - Wallace Hoysak age 81 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit of Saint Mary's Hospital on Sunday, July 23, 2017.
Wallace was born December 15, 1935 in Bridgeport CT and was a resident at the Birchfield Drive Group Home where he made many friends. Wallace was a wonderful man and had a great sense of humor. He was funny and would always call someone out if they had done something wrong. You couldn't get anything past him. He loved to go clothes shopping and pick out white shorts and enjoy a cup of coffee from Dunkin Donuts. Once Wallace met you, he loved you whether you thought so or not and in turn was loved by all. He will be greatly missed.
Wallace is survived by many of his group home friends and caregivers as well as several extended family members and was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Leonard.
Funeral services for Mr. Hoysak will be held on Friday July 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00.
