WATERBURY- Warren Baker Sr. age 84, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love and comfort of his family at Waterbury Hospital on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. He was the loving husband of Nancy (Wills) Baker.
Warren was born October 5, 1938, in Waterbury, CT, the son of the late John F. and Anna (Coleman) Baker Sr. He was a graduate of Leavenworth High School and spent 27 years working at Century Brass as a machine operator. After retirement, he held various jobs and most recently was working for Auto Plus as a parts delivery driver. Warren was an avid golfer and golfed in many leagues including the Swingers golf league in Prospect and the Lawrence Memorial Golf League where he served as past president of both. He was a diehard fan of both the Boston RedSox fan and the Hartford Wolfpack. Warren was a parishioner of Mary, Mother of the Church Parish, Saints Peter and Paul Church. Warren was always happiest while spending time with his family and always looked forward to Saturday night family dinners. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
Left to cherish his memory and honor his legacy, along with his wife, Nancy of 57 years, he leaves his son, Warren Baker Jr. of Bristol and his daughter, Anna Decarolis and her husband, Glenn of Prospect. He also leaves his two sisters, Ann Nichols of Louisiana, and Karen Malz of New Hampshire. Warren and Nancy were blessed with six adoring grandchildren, Amanda, James, Brandon, Ryan, David “DJ”, and Kevin and two great-grandchildren: Lily and Dean. Warren was predeceased by his brothers, Jackie, Ronnie, and Mark as well as his sisters, Jane, and Grace.
Funeral Services for Mr. Baker will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St. @ Soutmayd Rd. Waterbury, CT 06705. Relatives and friends may visit with Warren’s family on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 until the service at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
