AT THE O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME - Oakville - Willard E. Becker, age 92, of North Street, Oakville, died peacefully on Saturday, December 18th at the Middlebury Convalescent Center after a extended illness. He was the husband of Dorothy (Cutler) Becker.
Mr. Becker was born August 20th 1918 in Waterbury, CT, the son of the late Willard A. & Helen (Palmer) Becker. He was educated in local schools and worked as a machine operator and tool setter at Blake & Johnson. Willard was a skilled craftsman who took great pride in building his own home without the use of power tools. He enjoyed woodworking as well as building guitars and dollhouses. He was an avid guitar player and had his own radio show on WATR radio called the Texas Trail Boys.
Besides his wife of 69 years, Willard is survived by his three children; Robert Becker and his wife Patricia of Oakville, Bonnie Famiglietti and her husband Anthony of Oakville, and Arline Theon and her husband Bart of Cheshire and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of his family.
