THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AN CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF WILLIAM DAVID
William C. "Joe Babe" David, Sr., a victim of domestic and gun violence, passed on Monday, July 13, 2020. He was born May 30, 1972 in Waterbury, CT to the late Joe Lang and Zettawee Gaither David.
William was educated in the Waterbury Public School System, and he expanded his studies in spirituality at the University of Timbuktu. He established himself as a small business owner of Zettawee's Lawn Care & Snow Removal Service until his passing. William was passionate about football and he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children William C. (Deanna) David Jr, of Florida, LaTaisha David, Ty'Shawn David, Quess David, and Nair Moore of Waterbury, CT. Along with his children he also leaves behind his siblings Tanya David, Rhonda David-Copeland, Sonya David, Cozette Brown, Brian Brown Sr., NaTasha Brown, Joseph Boles, Robert Burrus, Jimmy Lang, Zsakieta Lang, Ayesha Lang-Thompson, Yusuf Lang, Jacquetta Richard, Jamar Redding, Ntarsha Blackman-Schoon, and Carl Steve, and a sister in-law Veronica Lang. William leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was predeceased by two brothers Alvin Wells and Tommy Lang.
Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, as well as Brother Fahd Syed were entrusted with William's body. Both worked together in a collaborative effort to assure his religious beliefs were respected. Brother Fahd Syed commissioned Janazah Services (funeral prayer) held at Masjid Assalam located at 130 Scott Road Waterbury, CT on Friday, July 17th, 2020. Once the commencement of service was completed, William lead a procession to his final resting place at Pine Grove Cemetery located at 850 Meriden Road in Waterbury, CT.
Memorial Services for William C. David, Sr. will be held on Monday, July 20, 2020 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home located at 1987 East Main Street Waterbury, CT. Please comply with COVID-19 regulations by practicing social distancing, wearing a mask and remaining in your vehicle until the service begins. At 6 pm, please follow the directions of the funeral attendants to enter and proceed through Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home.
