Waterbury, CT. Mr. William T. Kalosky, age 86, of North Harker Ave. Waterbury, died Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of Rita (Kenausis) Kalosky.
William was born on December 21,1921 in Waterbury, the son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Hector) Kalosky. He was a graduate of Wilby High School and he was a veteran of the US Navy having proudly served his country during World War II. He was a steamfitter for many years at Waterbury Hospital and retired in 1988. He was an accomplished athlete in his youth in several sports and was a member of the West Side Speedboys. He was parishioner of SS Peter and Paul Church.
Besides his wife of 66 years, William is survived by two sons ,William A. Kalosky of Thomaston and Kenneth L Kalosky and his wife Patricia of Ripley NY, three daughters, Eleanor Covelli and her husband Joseph of New Milford, Kathleen Kushman and her husband Richard of Niantic and Sharon K. Dwyer and her husband Paul of Swampscott MA. He also leaves two brothers, Joseph Kalosky of Waterbury and Harold "Bud" Kalosky of Southington, 13 grandchildren; Nora Kalosky, Noah Kalosky, Matthew DeAngelis, Marabeth Stormann, Adam Kalosky, William Lee Kalosky, Ethan Kalosky, Luke Covelli, Elizabeth Covelli, Emily Covelli, Lindsay Dwyer, Alexandra "Lexi" Dwyer and Christopher Dwyer as well as four great grandchildren; Jacob DeAngelis, Gabrielle DeAngelis, Max Stormann and Dane Stormann. His two sisters, Betty Leonard and Rita Lazauskas are deceased.
Funeral Services for Mr. Kalosky will be held on Monday December 15, 2008 with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at SS. Peter & Paul Church 67 Southmayd Rd Waterbury at 10:30am. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home 1581 East Main St. Waterbury has been entrusted to assist the family with arrangements. Memorial donations in Mr. Kalosky's memory may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society 34 Willow St. Waterbury CT 06710.
