WATERBURY- Zoraida (Sanabria) Lopez, age 66, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 7th, 2018 at Saint Mary's Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Angel M. Lopez.
Zoraida was born September 15th 1952 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Juan Sanabria and Mercedes Dora Lopez. She enjoyed traveling, bingo, going to the casino and most importantly spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a dedicated wife and mother. Zoraida will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Besides her husband, Angel of 45 years, Zoraida is survived by her daughter Magdalena L. Carter of Waterbury, her son Ricardo Lugo and his wife Jacqueline of Waterbury, her son Angel Lopez of Waterbury, five brothers, two sisters, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A service of remembrance will be held for Zoraida on Monday November 12th at 6:45pm at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Tribute Center. 1987 East Main St Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of her family. Relatives and friends may visit with Zoraida's family at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00pm until the time of the service.
